Early detection leads to faster relief – Know the signs before it becomes severe.
What Are Piles?
Piles, also known as hemorrhoids, are swollen and inflamed veins in the anus or lower rectum that can cause discomfort, pain, itching, and bleeding, especially during bowel movements. They are quite common and can affect people of all ages. There are two main types: internal piles, which occur inside the rectum and are usually painless but may bleed, and external piles, which develop around the anus and can be painful or itchy. Common causes include straining during bowel movements, chronic constipation, sitting for long periods, obesity, and pregnancy. Treatment includes eating a high-fiber diet, drinking plenty of water, using creams or ointments, and in severe cases, undergoing minor medical procedures. Good hygiene and healthy bowel habits can help prevent piles from developing or coming back.
